STD is designed for eligible, shorter periods away from work and can help replace part of an employee's income while they focus on recovery.

When benefits can begin

The available designs provide 60% income replacement, a 7-day elimination period for injury or sickness, and benefits for up to 25 weeks, subject to plan terms.
